This Privacy Notice (“notice”) for California residents supplements the information contained in the OpenRoute Privacy Statement at https://www.openroute.ai/privacy and applies solely to visitors, users, job applicants, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or“you”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and other California privacy laws. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice. If any discrepancies exist between the OpenRoute Privacy Statement and any other OpenRoute privacy statement or notice, this notice will prevail as it pertains to consumers and their rights under the CCPA.
Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”). In particular, we have collected (or not collected, as indicated below) the following categories of personal information from our consumers within the last twelve (12) months:
Collected Identifiers: This may include, but is not limited to: real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, email address, social security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers.
Personal information listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code s.1798.80(e)): This may include, but is not limited to: signature, telephone number, education, employment, employment history, insurance policy number, bank account number, or any other financial information, or health insurance information.
Characteristics of protected classification under California or federal law: This may include, but is not limited to: characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law such as age, gender identity, citizenship, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status.
Commercial information: This may include, but is not limited to: records of products or services purchased, obtained or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
Internet or other electronic network activity:This may include, but is not limited to, the internet or other electronic network activity such as browsing history, search history, information on a consumer’s interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.
Geolocation data: This may include, but is not limited to physical location or movements.
Professional or employment related information: This may include, but is not limited to: current or past job history or performance evaluations.
Non-public education information: This may include, but is not limited to: education records directly related to a student maintained by an educational institution or party acting on its behalf, such as grades, transcripts, student identification codes, student disciplinary records.
Inferences drawn from other personal information: This may include, but is not limited to: profile reflecting a consumer’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, intelligence or abilities.
Personal information does not include aggregate consumer information or de-identifiedinformation that cannot reasonably identify or be linked to any particular consumer or household, or information that is publicly available from federal,state or local government records and this notice does not apply to such information.
We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources: Direct interactions. You may give us your information when filling out website forms or corresponding with us by mail, phone, email or in-person. This includes, but is not limited to, personal information you provide when you: Subscribe to our newsletters and other publications; Request marketing to be sent to you; Interact with our website; Respond to a survey; Provide information in-person at industry events or other venues, or providing information by phone or email. Automated technologies or interactions. As you interact with our website, we automatically collect data about your device, browsing actions, and usage details. We collect this information through cookies and other similar technologies.
Use of Personal Information
We use the personal information we collect and receive for legitimate business purposes as described under How We Use the Information We Collect within our OpenRoute Privacy Statement at: https://www.openroute.ai/privacy-policy.
Disclosures of Personal Information for a Business Purpose
We disclose your personal information to third parties only for a specific business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except for performance of the contract. We disclose your personal information for a business purpose to the following categories of third parties: Service providers acting as data processors
Sale of Personal Information
In the preceding twelve(12) months we have not sold any personal information. OpenRoute does not sell personal information to third parties.
Your Rights and Choices
The CCPA provides consumers with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights.
Right to Know and Data Portability
You have the right to request that OpenRoute disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we disclose to you: The categories of personal information we collected about you; The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you; Our business or commercial purposes for collecting that personal information; The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information; The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request); The categories of personal information that were disclosed for business purposes in the last 12 months preceding the verifiable consumer request.In accordance with our obligations under the CCPA, we do not disclose social security number, driver’s license number or any government ID, financial account number, health insurance or medical ID number, account passwords, or security questions and answers.
Deletion Requests
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies.
Exercising Your Rights
To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by emailingprivacy@openroute.ai. Only you or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12 month period. This verifiable consumer request must: Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative. Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate and respond to it.We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we are unable to verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. This may include matching information you provide with data we have on you such as email address, phone number, a recent communication we may have sent, or an event you may have attended. We only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to confirm and authenticate your identity or authority to make the request.
Response Time and Format
We endeavor to respond to your verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45)calendar days of receipt. If we require an extension (up to 90 days) we inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. We deliver our written response by mail or electronically at your choice. The disclosures we provide only cover the 12 month period preceding the verifiable request receipt. If applicable, our response explains the reasons why we are unable to comply with a request. For data portability requests, we provide your personal information in a readily useable format that allows you to transmit the information to another entity without hindrance.We do not charge a fee to respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that a fee is required, we tell you why and provide a cost estimate before completing your request.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under CCPA.Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not: Deny you goods or services; Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services; Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services; Suggest you receive a different price or rate or different level of quality of goods or services.
California Minors
Our Sites are intended for an audience over the age of 18. Any California resident under the age of eighteen (18) who may have visited or used our Sites and who may have posted content on our Sites may request removal of this information by contacting us using the contact details below.
